Biography

Dr. Anupam Thakur is a staff psychiatrist in the Adult Neurodevelopmental Service at Centre for Addiction and Mental Health, Toronto and Surrey Place, Toronto. He is an Assistant Professor in Department of Psychiatry at University of Toronto (UoT). His clinical interests include autism spectrum disorder and psychiatric comorbidity in intellectual and developmental disabilities. He is passionate about improvement in care of people with developmental disabilities through education. Also, he has a keen interest in leadership development in health care professionals. He is involved in teaching at undergraduate and post-graduate medical education.

About the Award

Dr. Dave Davis has had a long and distinguished career in Continuing Education at the University of Toronto. He was the Associate Dean of Continuing Education at the University of Toronto from 1994-2005, and laid the groundwork for the concept of evidence-based continuing professional development. The Dave Davis Research Award recognizes an outstanding completed research/scholarly project in Continuing Professional Development in the Faculty of Medicine.
