Quote from the Winner
In a fast-paced world, educators and learners in healthcare are increasingly focused on pragmatic knowledge and skills, with emphasis on evidence-based interventions and objective evaluation. As important as these are, a narrow essentialized approach can be inherently limiting, with the risk of perpetuating gaps, blind spots, and social inequities. I have had the great fortune of being inspired by fantastic teachers and mentors. I aspire that as educators, we collectively cultivate in the next generation boundless curiosity and wonder; the capacity for deep reflection, critical thinking, and innovation; and an infallible sense of direction guided by values, compassion, and social justice.
