Description

Dr. Latika Nirula is the Director of the Centre for Faculty Development and assistant professor at the University of Toronto in the Department of Psychiatry. She previously held the role of Director of Simulation & Teaching Excellence at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health in Toronto. Dr. Nirula has also served as a lecturer and adjunct professor at OISE/UT, teaching within the School of Graduate Studies and the Initial Teaching Education programs. Her experience in faculty development provides valuable insights into effective CPD program design and coordination.

Dr. Shaheen Darani is a clinician educator and assistant professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Toronto and staff psychiatrist at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health. She serves as the Director of Faculty Development in the Department of Psychiatry, and is the past Site Director for Postgraduate Education at CAMH, and Associate Director of Postgraduate Learner Affairs/Wellness in the Office of Learner Affairs in the Temerty Faculty of Medicine at the UofT. Nationally, she is a member of the Royal College of Physician and Surgeons of Canada Forensic Subspecialty Examination Board as well as the Specialty Committee in Psychiatry.

Delivery of the workshops supported learner engagement and active learning, while fulfilling the learning objectives. Equity, diversity, and inclusion were addressed in the needs assessments, course objectives, and subject/content of the workshops."
