Biography
Dr. Kim Lazare is a family physician at NYGH where she is also the Postgraduate Site Director. She has held numerous other leadership positions locally including Postgraduate Curriculum Lead at NYGH and Resident Research Lead from 2015-2021. She is an Assistant Professor in the DFCM at U of T. She has taught many learners at both the postgraduate and undergraduate levels since 2015 and is highly regarded for her teaching. She is actively engaged in medical education research and other scholarly work. Her research interests include curriculum development, patient experience in primary care, and eating disorders. She completed her Masters of Science in Community Health (MScCH) through the University of Toronto in 2015. She has received numerous awards, including the Early Career Development Award from the CFPC in 2020, a DFCM Award of Excellence in Education Scholarship in 2019, and the Louise Nasmith Award through the DFCM in 2016.

About the Award
This award recognizes excellence in teaching at a community-based physician office/clinic.
Established by the Faculty of Medicine in 2012 the Community Based Teaching Awards recognize the significant contribution of an increasing number of University of Toronto community-based teachers to the learning of medical students and residents.
