From the Nomination
"During our clinical skills block in the first semester, Nasir went above and beyond to help students learn their clinical skills. For example, not only did he show us how to appropriately perform a certain physical exam, but he also related it back to real-life scenarios in which he utilizes it in Emergency Medicine. In term 2, we had him as one of the instructors for DTP1. Nasir made the content extremely easy to remember by utilizing images and open ended questions that got students participating. He also had effective knowledge transition between lecture content by linking the overall theme of the unit with depth of a specific test we were learning. Nasir also cares about the well-being of his students and always has a small check-in before class to allow students to have a mental health break and get things off their chest and their mind, so they are ready for the next task."
