Biography
Dr. Weisdorf is a Family Physician at the St. Michael’s Hospital Academic Family Health Team (SMHAFHT) in Toronto, Ontario and Assistant Professor at the Department of Family and Community Medicine (DFCM) at the University of Toronto. She is the Faculty Development Lead for the St. Michael’s Hospital DFCM and the DFCM Faculty Development Awards, Grants and Funds Lead. Her clinical expertise is in the provision of primary care to transgender and gender diverse people and their families. Thea’s passions include swimming in the lake, cycling locally and throughout the world and most of all, spending time with her two daughters, husband, and chocolate Labrador.
About the Award
These awards, named after one of our own award-winning educators, were established in 2005 to recognize outstanding departmental faculty development programs leading to the enhancement of education, instruction, career development, professionalism, inter-professionalism, and/or health professional leadership within the Faculty of Medicine. There are three categories: Sustained Excellence in Teaching as a Faculty Developer, Innovation in Program Development and Design, and Sustained Excellence in Teaching as a Faculty Developer.
