Dr. Amir Salamat graduated from medical school in 1992 in Iran, and came to Canada in 2006. As an IMG, he entered FM Residency at the University of Toronto in 2008. He has been practicing comprehensive family medicine since 2010. After coming to Canada, and before starting residency, he was actively involved in teaching and helping IMGs pass Canadian 4 exams. In 2006, he created a free study group for IMGs that soon had 1000 members. He was working in different roles as a coordinator, teacher and OSCE instructor.
