Steve Singh MD, MSc, FRCSC

Biography

Steve Singh, MD is an Assistant Professor, Division of Cardiac Surgery, University of Toronto, practicing at Trillium Health Partners. He is also the Competency‐by‐Design, Residency Program Director. Dr. Singh trained at the University of Toronto in cardiac surgery, concurrently completing a Masters’ Degree in Clinical Epidemiology. He completed residency and fellowship in advanced heart failure at Stanford University. He was an attending surgeon at McMaster University, Texas Heart/Baylor University and The Brigham and Women’s Hospital/Harvard. Prior, he was the Residency Director at McMaster, Interim Chief of Transplant and Assist Devices at Baylor, and the Director of the Heart Transplant and Assist Device program at The Brigham and Women’s, where he was also the fellowship director for cardiothoracic transplantation. He has an interest in advanced heart failure, clinical trials and education; and is well‐published with relevant accolades.
